UGA Speech and Hearing Clinic Media Kit

The UGA Speech and Hearing Clinic provides graduate students with the opportunity to learn directly from and work with nationally certified audiologists and speech pathologists. Together they work to provide evaluation and treatment services for those living with hearing, swallowing and communication disorders. Our services at the clinic include Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Services, Hearing Aid Evaluation and Sales, Transgender Voice and Communication Services and Communication Support Groups.

The following is a mock sample of my clinical writing and clinical assessment skills. All the information contained in this document is fabricated and does not violate HIPPA. 

REASON FOR EVALUATION:

Parents observed that Rose’s communication skills are behind compared to those of her older siblings, both of whom were born in the United States. Rose’s parents expressed concern that Rose initiates interaction less frequently than her other family members and often experiences difficulty verbally expressing herself. 

Personal training gym, TransFit, celebrates second birthday in Five Points Athens

ATHENS, Ga---

A women’s only gym, TransFit has celebrated its second birthday in its new facility in the heart of Five Points, Athens.The gym, whose name stands for transformational fitness was founded in the basement gym of owner Caroline Ward who said she felt called to transform women from the inside out.

The Student Merchandising Association partners with local boutiques for their ‘Alice in Wonderland’ themed philanthropic fashion show.

 A University of Georgia assistant professor leads a discussion with students Friday, April 6, on sexual harassment, sexual assault and how to respond.Dr. Katie Darby Hein, an assistant professor in the department of Health Promotion and Behavior at UGA led the discussion on sexual assault to the 45 students in attendance in the Miller Learning Center at noon.
